Is the cat vision simulation scientifically accurate?

Our simulation is based on published research in feline ophthalmology and comparative animal vision studies. While no simulation can perfectly replicate another species' subjective experience, CatLens models the known physiological differences in cat eyes —including their dichromatic color vision, tapetum lucidum, larger corneas, and rod-dominant retinas.

Can cats actually see what the app shows?

The app shows you a human-viewable approximation of feline vision. Since cat eyes have different photoreceptors than ours, we translate the differences into something your human eyes can interpret. Think of it as a translation rather than a direct copy.
